Alice Osceola Bunn Martinez (1901–1992) was a Shinnecock craftworker, trading-post founder, family historian, and oral-history contributor. Alice Bunn Martinez's record shows how craft knowledge, Native-owned commerce, education, and oral history could reinforce one another. Her work helped sustain a family economy while preserving details of Shinnecock working life that later histories might otherwise have lost.
